Pothole weightlessness in NYC!
Airborne. Floating weightless through airspace at 60mph on the Queens Bound Expressway. I experienced my first New York City POTHOLE. I was changing lanes, and then in a shadow there it was. A giant hole a couple feet long. I entered it and it spewed me into the air. Felt like I blacked out, or the impact was so hard it forced my eyelids to close, maybe by the force of my helmet shifting forward over my eyes, at which moment I felt the weightlessness, kept my arms straight, and then a big thunk back onto the pavement, and a huge screech of my tires, bottoming out. I was still upright, and moving forward. Calm. Smiling, or more laughing. One of the guys behind me moved up next to me and shot me a "thumbs up" gesture. Like we were all really stoked that I'd landed that trick. Hahaha
